About McLarty/Trainor Family Tree

Welcome Family Member
This website was intially set up to trace the family line of Duncan McLarty (from Australia) & Elizabeth McGruer (from Scotland). However as more information has come to hand, several of the other family branches are starting to fill up.
Duncan & Elizabeth were married at Geelong, Victoria, Australia in 1864 and they had 2 children (Ida & Duncan), before Duncan Snr died in 1868. Two years later Elizabeth married Andrew Trainor and together they had another 8 children.
Ida & Duncan then become known by the name McLarty/Trainor, as were their children, and it is Duncan that I have descended from.
You will see that in subsequent generations the name McLarty has been dropped and the name Trainor, as we are known today, has continued.
Records, over time, have improved but at times I've had to rely on information handed onto me & conversations with family members.
I sincerely apologise if I have any incorrect data and ask that you contact me to rectify.
I have concentrated on our ancestors and my direct descendants but I would love to add your families if you wish to include them.
I hope you enjoy checking out your ancestory and if you have time I would love to hear from you.
Regards
Sheryll Ford (nee Proctor)
